What Does Diagnosis Of Vasovegal Syndrome Mean?

My partner had a pace maker fitted in 2010 and was diagnosed with siosnode. He had been having blackouts from October 14 til december when he had it re-sited and was fine. He had the pacemaker removed in April 15 due to an infection and since then he has been suffering with breathlessness and blacking out. He saw the Cardiologist today and as of today has been told he has vaso vagal syndrome and doesn t need a pacemaker replacement. What is vaso vagal syndrome? How is it treated? We are both feeling very confused.. Please help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It's due to stress, triggered by fear, not eating, or sunlight, tension, blood sight, extreme emotions etc. Any person who becomes faint needs oral glucose mostly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
