What Does Delayed Periods In Person With Rheumatoid Arthritis Suggest?

Hi I am 32 years and suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and planning from last 6 months. My periods are regular but this month 6 days late and having pain in lower right side . My gycn. Suggest me to take Clofert 50 from 3 day of period for 5 day and folic acid. My sonography reports are normal. Plz suggest.

Hi,

Rheumatoid arthritis worsens during second half of periods but excess of rheumatoid arthritis is not known to cause changes in periods. You had taken tab. Fertyl after your periods.This drug helps maturation of follicles and also ovulation. Hence, your delay in periods this time, could be due to conception or due to increased psychological stress (about conception). In such condition, wait for periods till it's 8 days delay and then get home pregnancy test, consult your doctor with the result. Do not take any medicine unless advised by doctor.
