What Does Dark Vaginal Discharge Indicate?
I am 56 years old female. My last period was about 4 years ago. For the past few months, I have been having dark yellowish-Brown discharge at least once or twice a month. Sometimes it has a bad odor. Now I am g getting a burning sensation in my lower back on left side. My Dr. did a pap smear and it came back normal. What should I do?

i can understand your concern. It looks like a bacterial vaginosis.
Kindly get a culture and sensitivity of the discharge.
A course of antibiotics containing ciprofloxacin and metranidazole would be sufficient.
If a fungal element like candida is also present a single tab of fluconazole would also have to be taken.
Along with this kindly get a routine urine examination for a possible uti.
