What Does Cystic Fibrosis Mean?
My daughter is eleven weeks pregnant and the doctor just called and said she tested as a carrier for cystic fibrosis. She has never, ever tested for anything like this before. They said they are sending her to a genetic specialist. What does this mean?? No one in either family has ever had or tested for cystic fibrosis.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder that involves a gene on chromosome 7. Can lead to pancreatic lungs and other organ problems. Since she s a carrier it's important for testing the child.... So they sent for genetic counseling
