What Does Coarsened Echotexture On An Ultrasound Report Suggest?
Among other things a recent ultra sound revealed that my liver has coarsened echotexture which was said to be related to motion artifact of mild fatty infiltration (no focal hepatic mass). What does this mean and should I be concerned? Thank you. (I am 65 years old).
1. A full ultrasound report is required as we need to analyze all the features mentioned there.
2. Usually, the coarsened echotexture of the liver is indicating that the uniform smooth echotexture of the liver is lost. You say that fatty infiltration was found in the ultrasound. That is the cause to this coarsened echotexture.
Try to eat healthy, run more physical activity to help your liver detox. Milk thistle supplement can help too.
All the best.
