What Does Coarse Echo Texture Of The Hepatic Parenchyma Mean?

I was diagnosed with hep c and I m 62 years old. I checked on my 86 years old mom and she has hep c. We are from Japan. My mom and I never drank or do drugs. I was devastated. So I have had a blood test to see the quantitative of C. The result was NOT DETECTED. YAY. but.... I had a liver ultrasound. It s stated coarse echo texture of the hepatic parenchyma without definite evidence of focal solid hepatic mass. What does this mean. I thought I was out of the woods but does this mean I have cirrhosis?

Hep C not detected: Good news but let's be clear keep getting tested after 6 months then 2 years and then every two years or what ever the protocol your doctor advises you. it can reactivate HEP-C is a bug from hell..But don't worry hopefully it will not reactivate.

Course Texture of Liver:
It means two things
It means liver was affected very very slightly by the virus ,or you can say kindergarten for cirrhosis but in no way cirrhosis control it from here and you live a hundred years,and good news for liver is ,it can regenerate and heal itself.

NO SOLID HEPATIC MASS:
It means two things
(1)No Cirrhosis yet.
(2) No hepatic carcinoma.

and one thing more Hep C is spread by sexual contact or blood transfusion or blood needle prick not by alcohol,yes alcohol can speed up cirrhosis.

Conclusion:
So far so good best of luck for future we hope this all ends here for you and you lead a healthy life.
