What Does Cholesterol In My Test Result Indicate?

i am 27 years old,male. As my triglyceride was high i was advised to do test after 6 months. I have done so and my test result is as follows:

cholesterol - 220mg/dj, triglyceride 246 (previously 303), hdl cholesterol 47,ldl cholestorel 127, vldl cholesterol 46,

total bilirubin 2, conjugated .5, unconjugated 1.5, sgpt 71, sgot 32, alkaline phosphatase 85, total protein 7.9, albumin 4.9,globulin 3

please advice me whether i have any liver problem or any problem of cholesterol. Can it cause any heart problem?

Hello. Thank you for your question. I read your concerns carefully.

These cholesterol borderline levels can be be easily modified through diet (fibre-rich - green vegetables and fruit) and physical activity. I would recommend that you restrict your alcohol intake to acceptable and not harmful levels (a beer, a glass of wine or a glass of heavy alcohol per day). If you don't drink - even better. Even if you are a social drinker, it would also explain your liver figures, which are not dramatically high.
