What Does Burning Sensation On The Back Indicate?

For about 1 1/2 weeks, one small area in my back has a burning sensation. Seems to cease or loose my attention when active with things like yard work. Nothing apparent on the skin. I have had muscle strain before; however, it dissipates or goes away after a day or two of inactivity. Like many people, the first thing I think of is inflammation/cancer.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Please do a clinical examination by your Doctor and check your fasting blood sugar level.

2)Do talk with your treating Doctor about vitamin B 12 injection

The best way to prevent peripheral neuropathy is-

1)Try to manage any medical condition that puts you at risk. That means controlling your blood sugar level if you have diabetes.

2)Try to avoid alcohol and smoking

3)Try to eat a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein. Keep a food diary so you are aware of what you’re eating and to make sure you get all the nutrients you need each day to stay as healthy as possible.

Hope that helps
