What Does Blood Glucose Level Of 111 Suggest?
hello sir,
My blood result shows that my blood glucose level is 111 mg/dl (Random 07 times ) and HbA1C 4.72. I also did a urinalysis (20 times) and tested negative for Glucose in my urine. Recently though I have noticed a lot of ants in my bathroom, around my urine base of my toilet as well. I does this mean I am a diabetic?

I can understand your concern about your diabetic status.
To be very sure that do you or do not have diabetes the ideal test to be done is called OGTT (oral glucose tolerance test) in which a fasting blood sugar level is done and then you are made to drink a glass of glucose loaded water and after 2 hours again your blood sugar is tested. From your HbA1c it seems that you are not diabetic and random sugars are also normal, but OGTT can be confirmatory. Urine glucose is inconclusive and can be negative even in people with diabetes. Those ants around your bathroom probably are looking for something else. Please go ahead and do the OGTT rather than worrying. Hope this helps.
