Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a pain on my right side back under the wing last night I thought it was a pulled muscles. I took Naproxine and put aspercream on it. It seem to relieve the pain. I still have the pain but it has spread to the front also under my rib cage and is very uncomfortable. Is it more than a muscle pain.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Backache and pain may be due to back muscle spasm or lumbar spondylosis or renal stone or infection, etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Drink plenty of water and avoid spicy food and alcohol. Please get one X-ray lumbar spine, scan abdomen and urine examination. Use NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Naprosyn or Indomethacin, etc. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
