What Does An Itchy Bump Above The Right Knee Indicate?

I have a raised, very itchy bump on the outside of my right leg about 2 inches above my ankle. It has been there about 6 weeks. At first, I thought it was a mosquito bite and when it didn t go away, I thought it might be a tick bite ( we camp in New Hampshire every weekend). It did not look like a classic tick bite bulls eye so I discounted that. It continues to itch and feel like a bite.

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear is it scaly lesion??is it circular lesion?, what is the size of it ?is it spreading with time??

Dear probably it may be due to rash due to tight pants or due to urticaria.

other possibilities like fungal infection or preparer bursitis etc..

Until examination it is difficult to say what it is. please consult your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
