My mother is 85, and while I was sitting with her watching TV, she just had an episode of double vision and slowed (not slurred) sppech for about 3 minutes. She was then fine and speech/vision returned to normal . when I took her BP, it was 179/80. It started to go down immediately. She now feels fine. I gave her an 81 mg aspirin as a precautuionary measure. She has never had a stroke or TIA. She does have high cholesterol, high BP which are normally controlled. She has COPD. She insists that she feels fine now, and appears well.
