What Does Absence Of Fetal Heart Beats During Pregnancy Indicate?
hi i m 26 years old my lmp is 20th dec after that i didnt get my periods , 3 days before i went for scan , actully according my lmp it is 8 week but ultrasound showing its 5 weeks 5 day and no heart beat,, right now taking folic acid and nedge sr 200 1-0-1. is it safe? and it is any dangeour? 5 month back same thing happen and they did DNC i m so afraid plz sujjes me ..
If the ultrasound shows a pregnancy of 5 weeks 5 days it is normal not to have a heartbeat, the heartbeat should be seen at 6 weeks with vaginal ultrasound and should be seen at 8 weeks with an abdominal ultrasound. Even though your LMP was 8 weeks ago sometimes LMP and pregnancy age do not fit together.
The best thing to do is to do a follow-up ultrasound in a week or two. if the pregnancy findings do not correspond with what they should be (5 weeks 5 days + a week or two) then very likely this is a pregnancy that is not healthy. Meanwhile, continue with folic acid as it is important.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
