What Does A White Spot Below The Neck Indicate?

Hello Doctor, my name is krishna. i have a coin size white spot between bottom neck and a bit top left of chest since 2007. at that time i used flutivate cream. it control s the increasing of that white spot. now i found small small 6...7.... white spots on my chest and as well as a bit bottom of chest.They were started one year before.now that color is slowly increasing to white.and also some times i am getting small itching on my chest area. please clarify me about the seriousness of this problem. Thank You.

Hi,

White patches in your skin can be related to many causes:
- It might be a fungal skin infection (tinea versicolor.)
- Pityriasis alba, or vitiligo.

You should consult a dermatologist to put for physical examination and proper treatment.
