What Does A Spot On The Chest X-ray Of A Choronic Bronchitis Patient Indicate?

I Have Chronic bronchitis and lately when I sneeze or cough I have a lot of pain on my right upper chest area and I tightness there also...It really feels like theres something wrong with my right lung..I had a chest x-ray and they said they saw a spot on my lung but couldn t determine the cause. My primary doctor never followed up on the x-ray. The x-ray was done at a out of network clinic and my dr didn t even see the x-ray results..what should I do?

Hi,
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
As per your clinical history the the lesion seen on your chest X-ray probably be a consolidation (fluid collection due to pneumonia or chest infection). In most cases the consolidation will resolve within few weeks.
If I were your treating physician I would take a repeat X-ray probably after few weeks. If the spot still remains,I would go for a CT scan to find out exact cause.
I suggest you to consult a pulmonologist and get a repeat X-ray done. You might require a CT scan if the spot remains there for long.
Hope this information helps.
