last week went to the Dr for a cold turned out to be pneumonia, chest xray showed a spot,had Ct done and a 1.4 sonometer(dr pronounced) found non calcified , going for a PET scan next week. Located between middle and lower lobe of right lung,30+ year smoker..should i be worried?

A spot in the lungs could be due to infection, Parasite infestation or a tumour.
You said you are a smoker since how long you have been smoking and how much each day you smoke ? Kindly let me know this detail .
If you can upload me the CT scan report I can give you much better information.
But as per now it could be any of these : infection, Parasite infestation or a tumour.
Don't be worried , whatever it comes it can be managed. Kindly revert back once you get the PET scan reports.
