What Does A Small Lump Under Lips Indicate?

I have a small lump under my left lip inside under my nose. It is painless but there is a small amount of clear liquid that oozes out when I press on the outside of my upper lip. I had a root canal on my upper two front teeth 4 years. This has been going on. It is painless, grows a little secrets liquid then shrinks. It is constant but not painful. Is this related to my sinuses or teeth?

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain small lump under the lip which oozes clear liquid can be a mucous retention cyst knows as Mucocele..

It occurs due to trauma to the minor salivary glands or their ducts present on the inner side of lips which causes spillage of mucus into the adjacent soft tissues leading to swelling..

Mostly the small mucoceles rupture and resolve them self without any treatment.. In case of large mucocele surgical removal is needed..

In case of recurring cysts surgical removal has to be done and in case of small cysts if recurring and does not resolve salt water rinses can help in shrinking the cysts and if does not work non invasive laser ablation can be done..
