What Does A Small Lump Behind The Ear Indicate?

I have an olive sized lump on the right side of my neck just below/behind my ear. I haven t got a cold or any illness and it shows more when I turn my head to the left. I suffer from constant headaches and a sore shoulder and tingling down my right arm occasionally.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Enlarged lumps or swelling can be due to enlarged lymph nodes. These can be caused by infections, bacterial or viral infections or malignancy (cancer).

You are recommended to get physically examined & get evaluated. Get all the investigations like CT Scan, Pet Scan & Biopsy. You need antibiotics & anti-inflammatory (Acetaminophen or Naproxen) medications for relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
