What Does A Red Bump On The Labia Minora Indicate?

I have a red bump on the upper part of my labia minora. This makes my right outer vaginal lip swollen than the next one. It hurts if the area is touched by hands , clothing ,even while walking and sitting in certain position But doesn t hurt when I lie on my back spreading legs. It came overnight and got bigger all of a sudden I haven t seeked any medical help till now and it s been 3 days I m worried . Can you suggest me what should I do.

Hello. By the symptoms you describe I can say it could be a Bartolino abscess, it is caused after an obstruction of the little channels that this glands use to drain causing pain and gets inflamed, it may not be infected yet but it can be at any time. You should see your gynecologist and meanwhile use warm baths 4 times per day.
