Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a rash with tiny bumps on both sides of my left thigh. I m trying to figure out if I have the Shingles. It started off with a reddish patch with 4 holes below my left breast. The next day I had rashes on my thigh. Each day, I have more patches. The rash is not itchy. Can I use a Fluocinonide cream on it?
No, without prescription do not use any creams. I do not know as I am not getting a clear picture of your rashes. Do you have fever, vomiting, malaise or something? If it is not infective, then it can be allergic only. I know it is not itchy but it is red to start with.
If I were a clinician treating you, then I would have given you antihistaminic tablets once and if it subsides within 3 to 5 days then it's allergic. First, you need even think what caused your allergy or you may still use that which is causing your allergy. So, kindly evaluate and stop that agent.
If still nothing is working, then I would go for a biopsy of the crust which gives us full info on your problems and treats accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
