My granddaughter (5) has a purplish lump on her face near her mouth that is about one inch long and looks like a worm is under her skin. She has had two prescriptions of antibiotics which did not take care of the problem. It was lanced and a yellowish liquid was sent to the lab that came back negative for bacteria or MRSA. When she takes a shower and her mother pushes up on the lump a yellowish liquid comes out. For the past month it looked like the lump was drying up; however this morning the lump was very purple, inflamed. I know you cannot diagnose this but perhaps give me an idea of what it may be. A dermatologist has diagnosed it as a cyst. It looks horrible when it is inflamed and purple.
