What Does A Pulling Sensation In The Big Toe Indicate?

Have a couple of instances where big to is pulled straight up. Tendon seems to be pulling it. Usually occurs at night. Is pretty painful. If I stand up and hold on tosomething, I can use my other foot to push toe back straight and hold it there for several minutes. This has made the problem go away, so far. I am concerned if this is part of some serious condition.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Cefixime and add anti-inflamatory drugs as well. Consult your physician for prescription.

Don't wear tight shoes. Put feet in warm water for 15 to 20 minute. Take rest as much as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
