General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

Thank you for writing to Health Care Magic.

Some of the symptoms you have mentioned sound like a pilonidal cyst. A pilonidal cyst is an abscess that forms when one sits for a long period of time. This can cause the area to become unhygienic or for the blood supply to be low to the area.

This may cause a pimple like cyst or abscess to be formed. Many people find the following useful for a cyst.
Keep the area clean by using a sitz bath
Using a hot towel over the area
Clean the area with an antiseptic solution to remove any pus and to reduce chance of further infection
Take a warm shower
Gently remove the pus with pressure. Do not squeeze too hard to remove the pus if it is not easy to remove

Please reach out if you have any other questions. I hope this helps.
