What Does A Painful Lump Below The Tailbone Indicate?

Hi I just found a small pea sized lump in between my butt cheek right below my tail bone it hurts only when I push on it. I carry the brac 2 gene and my sister had triple negative breast cancer and I m concerned making an appointment with dr but curious of what this is

This could be an infected Pilonidal sinus or an abscess. If it is so, then a surgical intervention would be required. The abscess is incised and drained. The pilonidal sinus is removed and opened, and with dressings and antibiotics, it heals. You need not worry of it being malignant. However you shall have to consult the surgeon for management.
