What Does A Mole On On Head Indicate?

Hi. About 10 years ago I dyed my hair black (naturally brown). While washing we discovered a mole on my head. It was green. We made a standing joke that I dyed my mole. Since then it has gotten bigger, but the skin around it has raised into a hard lump, about 1/8 of an inch up, and its about a nickle around. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The fact that the mole has grown and there are changes on the skin around, it is safer to have it checked and make sure it is not anything worrisome.

If you can attach a couple of pictures of the mole, it would be helpful for us to have an understanding of what the mole may be and which are the needed further steps.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. Let me know if I may assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
