Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Doctor, I have a mass on the side of my face, near the earlobe. I have had a ultrasound, which was inconclusive and a CTScan. I have not had the results of the CTScan. The scan was done about a month ago but the surgeon has not got back to me. Should I be worried. I have made many calls to the surgeons office to no avail. Thank you, Joan - YYYY@YYYY
Mass on left side of face needs to be investigated with both radiological and pathological investigations. Radiological investigations include CT scan and MRI which are already done. Pathological investigations include FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) and / or biopsy. Requirement of FNAC and / or biopsy will be determined after radiological results are out.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
