What Does A Lump On The Neck Indicate?

I woke up this morning with a lump on my neck on my right side, im assuming is a swollen node. Its hard and hurts to swallow and hasn t gotten any better throughout the day. Am I fine to wait it out or do I need to schedule an appointment with a doctor?

Single day developing if the lump on the neck may be due to boil or carbuncle or lymph node or insect bites or rash.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
