What Does A Lump In The Ear Suggest?

Hi i have a perforated ear drum for over 10 years, but i was getting it fixed yesterday in hospital.. but they could nt do the operation because they discovered a lump now i must go for ct scan temporal bones ..the doctor said it could be a cyst or something.... what would you think this lump could be??????? could it be a humour?

Possible. Benign one, need ct scan to rule out its site and extension. surgery, might be abdonded due to the high vascularity or related to vital structures (facial nerve or inner ear canals). go ahead for the ct scan
