What Does A Lump Above The Navel Indicate?

I have a lump about a inch above my belly button and pain on the left side of my belly. Noticed it about 4days ago was a little sore but you could poke all around it and my belly with no pain, almost felt like it went away. Today it bulged out seems to be about 2 inches round and started t be tender then I got pains in my side. I was at work and was thinking about eating so I was hungry when it started to hurt. Then all of a sudden it got smaller and the pain has almost gone away. It s still a little tender when you push a half inch in to my belly

Hi, I think it can be an umbilical hernia. You can get it examined by a surgeon. It may require surgery because sometimes it can cause severe pain and strangulation of bowel. Hope I have answered your question.
