What Does A Itchy Rash On Tailbone Indicate?

I have a very itchy rash on the skin above my tailbone. Right at the top of my butt crack. It appeared about a week ago, and at first I thought it might of been from wearing a thong or something. But I ve been wearing those for years and have never had this happen. I feel it all day long and the itching is getting worse. Please help!!!

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi

The area you have mentioned is very commonly affected by fungal infections . These can specially occur in hot weather due to excessive sweating and friction .
It needs to be treated by regular application of topical anti fungal creams .
Oral anti fungal agents are also required in severe cases .
Do not apply any other cream or oil over the affected area.
