What Does A Hard Lump In The Vagina Indicate?

Inside my vagina (about 3/4 a fingers length in) to the right I feel about a raisin sized (and feels somewhat raisin shaped/not spherical) bump. It doesn t feel as though it s on the surface tissue of my vagina, but underneath/beneath. It s hard and not squishy. I ve never felt it before. Do you know what it is and if it s normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Hard lump in the vagina commonly occurs due to cysts (Inclusion cysts, Bartholin's gland cysts, Gartner/Mullerian cysts), STI causing warts, Vaginal cancers.

Get physically examined by a Gynae, get the pelvic examination & investigations like Pap test, Colposcopy & Biopsy done at the earliest. Get evaluated & treated. Abstain from sex & addictions if any, do regular exercises, stay away from stress & take adequate sleep.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
