What Does A Fizzy Sensation In The Head Indicate?

I am an 81 year old female is relatively good health, 5'3", 130 pounds. I have recently started experiencing a fizzing in my head. Sounds like air bubbles floating in my head, like someone removed the top off of a carbonated beverage. Any suggestions?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The fizzy sensation you describe is called paresthesia. It indicates nerve damage due to long standing diabetes or nerve compression due to cervical spinal nerve. Visit a Neurophysician.
