What Does A Cyst On The Spleen Indicate?
My 12 year old son is being treated for hydatid disease.He has a 4 x 4 cm cyst on his spleen. He is currently on 200mg Albendazole 3 times a day for 28 days. The specialist said to leave treatment at that and return to see him in 3 months time. There have been no blood checks done during treatment.. 24 days on treatment so far and no mention of having any blood test done during next 3 months before returning to specialist.. should full blood counts done? From what I have read they should be done at 2 weeks into treatment Thank you

get a basic heamogram ( CBC ) done it will show the infective state and also repet an ultrasound abdomen to see if thie cyst is still there or no after completeing your treatment
