What Does A Cyst Above The Hip Joint Indicate?

I have a cyst that look benign in my pelvic bone right above my hip joint. Can a cyst like this cause thigh pain and can it be aspirated and filled with a cement type substance? I have terrible pain in my upper thigh close to groin area and only gets bad when walking and activity

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In fact, when cysts in bones start hurting you, this is a time where most doctors would plan for surgery. If not otherwise contraindicated. The surgery usually consists of removing the whole cyst (rather than aspirating ) and then fixing the place with a cement-like substance.

This always gives a chance to biopsy the lesion if there is any suspicion, however, this all depends on the site, size of the cyst and the symptoms that are all assessed by consultant orthopedic surgeon and he would then decide the plan. So your idea is not a bad one talk to an orthopedic surgeon and goes ahead as he says.
