Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m trying to figure out an issue with my right eye. I have a small bump with no visible head on the lower eye lid. It looks like it is bruised as it has a black tint to it. It is almost painful, but mostly very uncomfortable. Can you have a sty that is under the skin?
If no visible tip is seen in eyelid, less painful and soft in consistency, then there is less probability of Stye.
It must be Chalazion. It is nothing but accumulation of fluid in Meibomian gland. Consult an ophthalmologist and confirm the diagnosis. It is removed by surgical excision.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
