What Does A Bump On The Knee Indicate?

A week or so ago I found a bump on the vein near my knee. I am older and have very prominent veins. This last week the bump has grown, is rather hard under the skin and is growing. This morning the skin was reddish which was not the case before. I have not fallen on my leg nor bumped it on any furniture. Wondered what it could be and whether I should pursue a call to my doctor. Please advise. Thanks,

Looks like you have a bakers cyst,
You should meet orthopedic doctor soon.
For now cold fomentation and leg raise will help.
