Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think your doctor can suspect lupus.
The urine may show proteine and red blood cells.
She should do antinuclear antibody (ANA) test for lupus. A positive test for the presence of these antibodies — produced by your immune system — indicates a stimulated immune system.
The lupus in this case has affected kidneys.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
