What Does PUS Cell In Stool Mean?

I have son of age 3 months. He is passing green color potty since 3 weeks. I have tested his stool and found there is PUS cell of amount 30-35. Also, I've observed there is Occult blood in his stool. Please advise what does PUS cell mean? and its normal amount in babys stool?

Thanks for writing to HCM

Your son is suffering from colitis (intestine infection).It may be due to rota virus.
This is indicated by presence of green stool colour,pus cells,occult blood in stool.
No specific antiviral therapy is available. Medicines are only prescribed to relieve the symptoms. It is important to maintain adequate fluid and easily digested food intake.
He should be given adequate fluids.He should be served clean water and hygienic food.
