Hi!

I read carefully your query.

How old are you and what kind of work you do?

If you have pain you may take some pain killer and than to consult with orthopedist and after this phase you may do some sports activity like swimming(without gravity)
I recommend if you are new, you have much pain ,you have so much activity,You take with sports etc you should go under surgery with orthopedist.

I wish you fast recovery.
