What Does HSV Level Of 3.88 Mean?

I was recently tested at Planned Parenthood for HSV 2. No known exposure or symptoms, however I elected to have blood drawn since I was testing for everything else. I received a call that I had in fact tested positive for HSV 2. I called back and asked for my levels. At first they said that they only have a negative result (under .90) or a positive result (over 5.0) But then checked my chart and it said that mine was listed differently at 3.88. She couldn t discuss the results any further. I do have an appt with my primary care provider this week. Is it worth retesting?

Hey thanks for your faith in the health care magic.i have gone through your question and understood your problem.
Test report indicates HSV.IgG reactive and HSV.IgM non reactive that means HSV.IgG IS POSITIVE while HSV.IgM is negative .The presence of IgG antibodies but not IgM antibodies indicates a history of past exposure to the HSV.virus and indicates that the person tested that is you are immune to the HSV..So nothing to worry.
