Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have been diagnosed with mild to moderate MVP and cardiologist doesn't feel it necessary yet for surgery but it is the migraines, my sensitivity to medication i have to take for the migraines that make me feel nauseas all the time, my lack of concentration and fatigue that are all side effects of the MVP that make me feel that surgery may help even before the actual MVP itself is diagnosed in the severe category?
HI Thank for asking to HCM If you do have mitral valve disease then MVP is the common finding, and this does not manifest clinically, other parameters are necessary to decide the exact mitral valve status and that can be taken into consideration for surgery or for other procedure, if you do not have sever dyspnea, then no need to worry at this time just for prolapse, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
