my name is Jeanette , I have just found out that my mother is in hospital although I can not get there yet the person that is with her is young and vague on what is happening. from what she sai I am thiking electrical cardioversion that is being treated with anesthetic . as she said she has an irregular heart beat that spiking and that they are putting some white liquid through a canular? although they have done it twice and nothing

the white Iiquid is propofol a short acting sedative hyponotic used in day care surgeries.
she has been sedated for cardioversion to correct her irregular heartbeat mostly like supra ventricular tachycardias.
the cardio version electric joules is slowly escalated from lower to higher values unlike defibrillation
the 3 S for cardio version are: sedate, synchronize, shock
nothing to worry
