What Do We Do To Prevent The Possibility Of Altitude Sickness?

Our family is heading to Breckenridge CO for a ski trip. We will only be there 4 days to ski so the day after we arrive we will be skiing. We are active and in good health but concerned about altitude sickness. Have skied this area 30 years ago (near 60 now) with no problems at all, but wondering if there is anything we should do to prevent (reduce) the possibility of altitude sickness.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. You are being overly apprehensive. You are going on a trip and enjoy skiing. You have experience in the same place before. Then there was no altitude sickness. Then how you came across this idea and start anxiety? Nothing should happen. Don't be apprehensive.

Just as a precaution, carry some pieces of salted ginger with you in your pocket. Just chew it and the altitude sickness should not bother you.
Hope this answers your concerns. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
