What Do Under Eye Circles Along With Pain In The Arms Indicate?

Yes, I saw something on the Today Show about some unusual conditions. One of them had two main symptoms and was found in women more than men. The symptoms were dark circles under the eyes and pain and discomfort raising arms up to head or above. Could you please tell me the name of the condition?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per my opinion, both are different and can't be correlated. Dark circles can be due hormonal imbalance or due to allergies. Sometimes melanin pigment abnormalities can also cause this.

Consult dermatologist for that. You may also require allergy specialist advice. Pain and difficulty while raising arm are due to frozen shoulder (capsulitis of shoulder joint).

This is commonly associated with diabetes, so get your blood sugar levels done. Treatment requires physiotherapy exercise. Consult physiotherapist for that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
