What Do Tiny, White Bumps In The Groin Area Indicate?
I have tiny white or kind of flesh colored bumps on my Mons pubis and they blend in when dry but after I shower they look brighter or bigger. It s only in one spot. On my moms pubis, but they aren t painful only sometimes minorly itchy. I ve been tested for STDs however this doesn t seem like this is it. What are they and what should I do?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
It sounds like you may have Fordyce spots, which are small, harmless, raised bumps that are white or yellow and typically found on the genitals, including the Mons pubis. They are caused by the presence of sebaceous glands and are entirely benign. They are not contagious and do not require any treatment. However, if the bumps are causing discomfort or you are concerned, you should consult a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and advice.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
