What Do These Brain MRI Test Results Indicate?

Here is my MRI report. Waiting for my doctor, who is too busy to see or call me: MRI BRAIN WITHOUT AND WITH CONTRAST CLINICAL INFORMATION: Sharp pain at times on the right temple area and dizziness for two months. COMPARISON: CT HEAD WITHOUT CONTRAST dated 4/9/2015 PROCEDURE: Sagittal T1, axial FLAIR, axial T2, axial T1, axial gradient susceptibility, axial T1 enhanced, coronal T1 enhanced and axial DWI. Contrast: 10 ml Multihance IV. FINDINGS: Brain: Intracranially, there is no pathologic mass effect, hemorrhage by gradient susceptibility, or acute infarct by DWI. No pathologic intraparenchymal, leptomeningeal, or dural enhancement. Several punctate, non-specific periventricular and subcortical white matter signal abnormalities on T2/FLAIR are identified and likely relate to chronic small vessel ischemic disease. Ventricles and extra-axial fluid spaces: Ventriculomegaly out of proportion to central brain atrophy. Sella, suprasellar cistern, and orbits: Within normal limits. Major vascular flow voids: Normal intracranial vasculature MR appearance. Calvarium and extracranial soft tissues: Within normal limits. Paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells: Largely clear. IMPRESSION: No macroscopic, morphologic intracranial abnormalities to suggest an etiology for the patient s clinical presentation.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There are no serious lesions in your brain MRI.
Punctate signal abnormalities are most likely related to chronic damage of brain small vessels from uncontrolled high blood pressure. Ventriculomegaly or enlarged ventricles are most likely compensating the loss of the brain mass due to atrophy.
Discuss with your Neurologist about these issues.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
