What Do These SGPT Levels While Being On Godex Indicate?

I was diagnose with sgpt of 101 last year october and fibroscan with stiffnes of 12.7 and was advice by my doctor to take orzofak once a day, godex ds 3x a day, tocovid vit e once a day, and to exercise. After 3 months my sgpt was 52 and my liver stiffness is 12.4 and continued my godex and tocovid vit e foa another 3 months. After which my result sgpt is 51. Am i getting well and is my disease not that serious? Please advice me more. I am 59 yrs old female.

Hello and thanks for writing.

I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. These medications are given to prevent non alcoholic steatohepatitis in a patient with asymptomatic elevation of liver enzymes. In your case you are having good response from these medications as indicated by improving SGPT and fibroscan values. So i suggest you continue with them for further improvement. I can understand that the treatment may be prolonged but trust me it would help you.

You may carry on with the same schedule and go for periodic checkups that may have been prescribed by your doctor.
