What Do The Test Results Indicate?

Hi , My wife is from Laos, and we are just checking through some of her old paperwork, and found a Medical Cert she had for her first visa. It says VDRL : Reactive HIV : Negative RH : Positive HBs Ag: Negative.Can anyone explain this please as any positive / reactive here, doesnt sound too good???

VDRL test is a screening test for syphilis. It measures antibodies,against SYPHILIS bacteria Treponema pallidum .The screening test is most likely to be positive in the secondary and latent stages of syphilis. A positive test result may mean that your wife had syphilis but does not indicate the stage of disease and may not differentiate between past and current infection, besides there are many false positives so must be confirmed with confirm the results with an FTA-ABS,TPPA,TPHAtest, which are more specific .Hope this helps!
