What Do Swelling And Redness On The Nose Indicate?

A few weeks ago I woke up with redness and swelling on the side of my nose. I do have rosacea so I diagnose was an inflamed papule. However I have had them before and I feel this is different. I was put on doxy 100mg twice daily, which brought down the redness but not the bump on the side of my nose. In the am, there is no redness and less swelling. As the days goes on, there is redness and swelling. There has never been any pain or tenderness associated with this area either. It truly is a mystery.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have evaluated your query thoroughly. You take Cefixime twice a day for five days. Take Serratiopeptidase and Aceclofenac combination twice a day for five days. Take care of that part. I think it will be a cure if you have finished this dose.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
