What Do Soreness And Vaginal Discharge After Unprotected Sex Indicate?

I had unprotected sex 4 days ago and since then my vagina is sore and as of yesterday I have discharge coming out all the time, the soreness has gone down a lot it just uncomfortable really, the discharge doesn t smell, could this be just a yeast infection or vaginitis? I m really worried that it could be an std.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to yeast infection. But as you had unprotected sexual intercourse before this it is better to rule out STDs. A swab test will be helpful to rule out this. If yeast infection then clotrimazole cream ( monistat ) application locally will be helpful. This is available as over the counter. You can also use intimate wash regularly to normalize your vaginal bacterial flora and PH.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
